ウォルト・ディズニー・カンパニーがNAACP（全国有色人種向上協会）などの非営利組織に計500万ドルを寄付しました。
この事件以前にもディズニーはNAACPなどの団体と協力関係にあり、人種による教育格差を無くすべく、数百万ドルの寄付を行ってきました。
